A real, working venue — not a "coming soon"
The Old Shed is actively booked for weddings, long lunches, parties, meetings and private functions for up to 100 guests. Here's what the space offers and how booking actually works.
Built around one very long table
The shed measures 25m by 8.5m, giving you a 15m front section built around the 10m solid jarrah table (seating 20 a side), plus a quieter 10m back area with sofas and games for guests who want to step away from the main event. Additional tables and chairs can be set up outside for bigger groups.
A fully equipped 6m x 2m kitchen with a separate caterer's entrance, two commercial-size fridges, a 120cm oven and stove, a Matador BBQ, and glassware/crockery for up to 50 guests means caterers can work independently of your event. Full specs are on The Shed page.

This is a friendly summary of our hire process. The Venue Hire Application Form and full Terms & Conditions are what actually governs your booking — read those before you sign anything.
Securing your date
A $1,000 deposit with your Venue Hire Application Form secures your date. You'll get a confirmation email within 7 working days.
Paying it off
Halfway between booking and your event, 50% of the remaining balance is due. The rest is payable no later than 7 days before your event.
The bond
A $1,000 credit card bond is required within 30 days of your hire date, refunded after your event assuming there's no damage or extra cleaning needed.
On the day
You'll usually have access the day before and after your event for setup and pack-down. No amplified music past midnight — premises vacated by 1am.
Rescheduling
Free to reschedule with at least 30 days' notice, in writing, subject to availability. Cancellations forfeit deposits and payments made.
Insurance
Public events (open/advertised/ticketed) need your own $10m public liability insurance. Private, invitation-only events are covered by ours.
